Our Mission
Our mission is to expand the startup entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Midwest by bringing together the best up-and-coming startups across seven of the most prestigious campuses to connect them with top venture funds.
The Midwest Ventures Conference catalyzes funding rounds for startups and forges new connections, significantly enhancing the Midwest's startup landscape. This year, we are partnering with Scotty Ventures @ Carnegie Mellon University to further expand our reach and impact.

MVC 2025 Recap
Our recent conference, supported by sponsors including the Zell Lurie Institute and Michigan CFE, was a resounding success with over 70 students and 17 venture partners in attendance. Keynote speaker Dug Song, co-founder of Duo Security, and Ian Sandler from Insight Partners provided insightful speeches on career choices and entrepreneurial self-belief, resonating deeply with the audience of young entrepreneurs and students.
The event's highlight was the presentation of select Midwestern startups, showcasing their innovative solutions. This led to targeted one-on-one meetings between investors and founders, facilitated by the expressed interests and investment criteria. These meetings sparked significant interactions, with venture partners like Soma Capital, 1517, and Alumni Ventures initiating promising connections with startups, underscoring the conference's effectiveness in driving entrepreneurial engagement and collaboration.
